SUCCESS IS TAKING 100% RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE.

SUCCESS IS TAKING 100% RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE.

Brilliant story

A giant ship engine failed.

The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure but how to fix the engine.

Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a young.

He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work.

He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.

Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do.

After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer.

He gently tapped something.

Instantly, the engine lurched into life.

He carefully put his hammer away.

The engine was fixed!
A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for Rs.100,000.

"What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!"

So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill."

The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer.. . Rs. 2/-

Knowing where to tap... Rs 99,998/-

Moral of the story:

Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort in your life, makes all the difference.

"YOU CAN'T BECOME LEGENDARY OF YOU HAVE NO ENERGY."

"YOU CAN'T BECOME LEGENDARY OF YOU HAVE NO ENERGY."

Don’t be discouraged if something is not in your favor today...

A jobless man applied for the position of ‘office boy’ at a very big company.
The employer interviewed him, then a test: clean the floor.
“You are hired.” – the employer said. ”Give me your email address, and I’ll send you the application to fill, as well as when you will start.”
The man replied, “I don’t have a computer, neither an email.”
“I’m sorry,” said the employer, “if you don’t have an email , you cannot have the job.”
The man left with no hope. He didn’t know what to do, with only $10 USD in his pocket.
He then decided to go to the supermarket, bought a 10 kg tomato crate, then sold the tomatoes door to door. In less than two hours, he succeeded and doubled his capital. He repeated the operation 3 times and returned home with $60 USD. The man realized that he could survive by this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and returned late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled everyday. Shortly later, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.
Five years later, the man’s company was one of the biggest food retailers. He started to plan his family’s future, and decided to have a life insurance. He called an insurance broker and chose a protection plan. When the conversation was concluded, the broker asked him his email. The man replied: “I don’t have an email.”
The broker replied curiously, “You don’t have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Do you imagine what position you could have if you had an email?”
The man paused for a while, and replied: “An office boy!”
Don’t be discouraged if something is not in your favor today. Better opportunities are always waiting ahead.

These are few questions asked in HR interview...

These are few questions asked in HR interview...  The answers are really stunning and inspiring........ Thinking out of the box...!  A must READ......

Question 1:

You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, it's raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for a bus:

* An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

* An old friend who once saved your life.

* The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that there could only be one passenger in your car?

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

He simply answered:

"I would give the car keys to my Old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box."

Question 2:

What will you do if I run away with your sister?

The candidate who was selected answered " I will not get a better match for my sister than you sir"

Question 3:

Interviewer (to a student girl candidate)   What if one morning you woke up & found that you were pregnant.

Girl   I will be very excited and take an off, to celebrate with my husband.

Normally an unmarried girl will be shocked to hear this, but she managed it well. Why I should think it in the wrong way, she said later when asked.

Question 4:

Interviewer: He ordered a cup of coffee for the candidate. Coffee arrived kept before the candidate, then he asked what is before you?

Candidate: Instantly replied "Tea"

He got selected.

You know how and why did he say "TEA" when he knows very well that coffee was kept before.

(Answer: The question was "What is before you (U   alphabet) Reply was "TEA" ( T   alphabet)

Alphabet "T" was before Alphabet "U"

Question5;

Interviewer said "I shall either ask you ten easy questions or one really difficult question.

Think well before you make up your mind!" The boy thought for a while and said, "my choice is one really difficult question."

"Well, good luck to you, you have made your own choice! Now tell me this. "What comes first, Day or Night?"

The boy was jolted into reality as his admission depends on the correctness of his answer, but he thought for a while and said, "It's the DAY sir!"

"How" the interviewer asked,

"Sorry sir, you promised me that you will not ask me a SECOND difficult question!"

Wonderful message and thought of sharing..

"I hired a plumber to help me repairs at an old farmhouse. He already had a rough and tiresome day.
* a flat tire
* his electric drill fault
* his old car break down.
* his tiffin was spoilt
* he lost his wallet
* his bank was calling for loan repayments

In all the tension and stress he finished my repairs.

Since his car broke down, I drove him home.  While I drove him home, he sat silently, but I can mark his agony and restlessness.

On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands and closed his eyes.

When the door opened, he was smiling and happy. In seconds he underwent an amazing transformation.

He hugged his two small children, gave his wife a kiss, laughed, and never even slightly make them feel the troubles that he had encountered that day.

I was astonished, aback and curious. Seeing my inquisitive eyes he told “Oh, that's my Trouble Tree. My best friend.  My trouble carrier for the night”. He replied.   “I know I can't help having
troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, those troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up again.” He smiled and shared secret that “when I come out in the morning to pick 'em up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging there the night before !!”

Life may be a burden of worries, but there is a way to keep our loved ones untouched from these worries.

Time will heal every wound.

Whom so ever is tensed today , look for a tree ☺ ...

"WHEN WE GIVE UP ON OUR DREAMS WE DIE WHILE STILL ALIVE."

"WHEN WE GIVE UP ON OUR DREAMS WE DIE WHILE STILL ALIVE."

Worry causes more damage than any other emotion.

There was a very remote village, completely cut off from the rest of the world. A solitary farmer dared to venture out of it one day, and try his luck in the real world - away from the safety of the place he called home.

He had walked for a few hours when he saw a fast-flowing river, and across that a very narrow rope bridge. He was very frightened, and wondered if it would be the end of him if he lost his footing and fell down to the inky depths below. But to his surprise he saw a man already standing near the bridge - cloaked and hooded in complete black. A man who had red eyes and no smile, and only when he ventured closer did he realize that the stranger was none other than Death himself.

The man was shocked, and sure that Deathhad come to claim him for his own. But Deathmerely let out a hollow laugh and said -

"Beware O Human. Before the sun rises tomorrow, I will visit your village and take fifty of your people for my own."

The man was scared beyond words, and ran back home as fast as his legs could carry him. He reached there all sweaty and out of breath, and conveyed the sad news to his folks. The entire village was in a state of shock and dismay as they turned out their fires that night and retired for the day.

*   *   *

The new day dawned cold and cruel on a scandalized village, and the solitary farmer was saddened to know that almost five hundred of his village men were dead. He was overcome by a sense of betrayal, and bewilderment at why had Death lied to him. He rushed out in a huff, hoping to meet Deathand try and demand back the life of his friends and family.

And sure enough Death was waiting for him at the exact spot as the day before - but this time there was a marked leer on his face when he questioned.

"I see, Human. You have come here again. What brings you to me?"

"You had foretold that you'd take a fifty of my village men, but you took five hundred. What did those poor men do to deserve such wrath?"

"Oh but I took only fifty, Human. Worry took the rest."

*   *   *

MORAL : Worry causes more damage than any other emotion. They say that the future has already been written, and if we can do nothing about it, then there is no use wasting our present brooding over things beyond our control. It is better to keep things simple, and enjoy life as it comes to us.

14 short stories worth reading, feeling and forwarding to all those dear to you..

1. Fall and Rise

Today, when I slipped on the wet tile floor a boy in a wheelchair caught me before I slammed my head on the ground. He said, “Believe it or not, that’s almost exactly how I injured my back 3 years ago .

2. A father's advice

Today, my father told me, “Just go for it and give it a try! You don’t have to be a professional to build a successful product. Amateurs started Google and Apple. Professionals built the Titanic

3. The power of uniqueness.

Today, I asked my mentor – a very successful business man in his 70’s – what his top 3 tips are for success. He smiled and said, “Read something no one else is reading, think something no one else is thinking, and do something no one else is doing.

4. Looking Back

Today, I interviewed my grandmother for part of a research paper I’m working on for my Psychology class. When I asked her to define success in her own words, she said, “Success is when you look back at your life and the memories make you smile.

5. Try and U shall know

I am blind by birth. When I was 8 years old, I wanted to play baseball. I asked my father- "Dad, can I play baseball?" He said "You'll never know until you try." When I was a teenager, I asked him, - "Dad Can I become a surgeon?". He replied "Son, you'll never know until you try." Today I am a Surgeon, just because I tried!

6. GOODNESS & GRATITUDE

Today, after a 72 hour shift at the fire station, a woman ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug. When I tensed up, she realized I didn’t recognize her. She let go with tears of joy in her eyes and the most sincere smile and said, “On 9-11-2001, you carried me out of the World Trade Center.”

7. LOVE CONQUERS PAIN

Today, after I watched my dog get run over by a car, I sat on the side of the road holding him and crying. And just before he died, he licked the tears off my face.

8. A DOOR CLOSES TO OPEN ANOTHER

Today at 7AM, I woke up feeling ill, but decided I needed the money, so I went into work. At 3PM I got laid off. On my drive home I got a flat tire. When I went into the trunk for the spare, it was flat too. A man in a BMW pulled over, gave me a ride, we chatted, and then he offered me a job. I start tomorrow.

9. LOOKING BACK

Today, as my father, three brothers, and two sisters stood around my mother’s hospital bed, my mother uttered her last coherent words before she died. She simply said, “I feel so loved right now. We should have gotten together like this more often.”

10. AFFECTION

Today, I kissed my dad on the forehead as he passed away in a small hospital bed. About 5 seconds after he passed, I realized it was the first time I had given him a kiss since I was a little boy.

11. INNOCENCE

Today, in the cutest voice, my 8-year-old daughter asked me to start recycling. I chuckled and asked, “Why?” She replied, “So you can help me save the planet.” I chuckled again and asked, “And why do you want to save the planet?” “Because that’s where I keep all my stuff,” she said.

12. JOY

Today, when I witnessed a 27-year-old breast cancer patient laughing hysterically at her 2-year-old daughter’s antics, I suddenly realized that I need to stop complaining about my life and start celebrating it again.

13. KINDNESS

Today, a boy in a wheelchair saw me desperately struggling on crutches with my broken leg and offered to carry my backpack and books for me. He helped me all the way across campus to my class and as he was leaving he said, “I hope you feel better soon.”.

14. SHARING

Today, I was traveling in Kenya and I met a refugee from Zimbabwe. He said he hadn’t eaten anything in over 3 days and looked extremely skinny and unhealthy. Then my friend offered him the rest of the sandwich he was eating. The first thing the man said was, “We can share it.”

Cheers to life.

One of the best post, ever gone through.....thanks to all those who decided to share these real life experiences!
